This dress has our traditional shape with less volume and a new statement sleeve reminiscent of post-colonial frock styles of Oyo, Nigeria. Each dress is hand painted in our studio, and no two are the same.
Inspired by the folk art by the Korhongo people of the Ivory Coast, we created a motif that would honor the endangered birds of Africa. We want to speak to the growing urgency to turn our attention to preservation of our planet, and making small conscious efforts towards a more equitable future.
